Setup was easy, but not intuitive. Would suggest better written instructions with various scenarios if problems arise in linking to existing modem. Hope this model lasts longer than 2 years, which is about the lenght of time that my older Linksys started to fail.

I have my cable modem in bridged mode and use this for WiFi and routing.
Pro's: The router has many good features. The setup is easy. The access to the router via Linksys's website is a convenient feature. The routing with my wire devices was fast.
Con's: The WiFi functionality is no good. I am using the 2.4 GHz frequency for my primary network because most of my devices will not work on 5 GHz. I live in a small one bedroom apartment with a lot of neighboring networks taking up all the channels. I thought this was the issue but I connected up a T-Mobile TM-AC1900 Wi-Fi CellSpot Router in place of this in the same frequency and it worked just fine. Signal strength is good throughout my apartment but overall performance was poor. I experienced frequent disconnects from online gaming and streaming videos.
Also the QoS feature cannot distinguish my two Chromecasts. It identifies them as the same device.
With all that being said, Linksys support chalked this up to a malfunctioning device. I bought this certified refurbished so could be just a bad apple. I am getting the EA6400 as a replacement device.
